Clover Ericaceous Compost 60L – Acid-Loving Plant Compost
Clover Ericaceous Compost 60L is a specialist compost formulated for plants that thrive in acidic soil conditions (pH 4.0–4.5). Enriched with balanced nutrients and a wetting agent, it supports strong root development and helps acid-loving plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, heathers and blueberries grow and flower reliably.
This compost is ideal when planting or repotting lime-hating plants, particularly in areas where garden soil is neutral or alkaline. Unlike standard multi-purpose compost, it maintains the lower pH levels these plants require to properly absorb nutrients, helping prevent yellowing leaves (chlorosis) and encouraging healthier, more vigorous growth.

What does ericaceous mean?
Ericaceous refers to plants that prefer acidic soil conditions. These plants struggle in alkaline soil and require compost with a lower pH to thrive.
Can I use this compost for blueberries?
Yes. Blueberries require acidic soil conditions and perform very well in ericaceous compost.
Can I mix this with garden soil?
Yes, particularly if your natural soil is slightly alkaline. Mixing helps improve structure and acidity, but heavily alkaline soils may require ongoing pH management.
How much compost do I need?
A 60L bag covers approximately 1 square metre at a depth of 6cm. For pots and containers, volume requirements depend on size and planting depth.

Single Bags of Compost will be delivered by Courier, who will provide delivery tracking by SMS, there is a small delivery charge on single bags of compost (which is calculated at the checkout)
If you order 5 or more bags of compost we will deliver via TPN (The Pallet Network).

How We Deliver
**PLEASE NOTE** WE DO NOT DELIVER WITH A HIAB CRANE
Pallet deliveries are made on 18 tonne curtain sided lorries and off loaded via a tail lift and pallet trolly to the kerbside.
A smooth level surface such as tarmac or paving is required to offload onto, we can not deliver onto gravel or up a slope.
