The Species mixed crocus collection offers a multitude of colour for the first blooms of the year. A firm favourite adding early interest to any garden.

Flowering January - March. They emerge at a different heights 5-10 cm, with delicate blooms that early pollinators will love. Given a moist soil they will multiply into drifts and provide plenty of plants to share with fellow gardeners. Plant at the front of beds and borders to fully enjoy the excellent display they will provide. These can also be planted in layered arrangements within pots with other taller and later flowering bulbs to give a season long display.

How to grow me

Ideal in pots, rock gardens, beds and naturalising in lawns and grassy areas.

As soon as they are delivered they should be planted immediately so they have enough time to set root in Autumn for early spring flowering.

*Drainage in the form of horticultural potting grit can be added to the soil directly under your bulbs to ensure the roots do not sit in water and rot away. Clay soil that retains water may need improvement for successful flowering.

Delivery Information

Bulbs will be shipped when the new season crop comes into stock, we expect our delivery the first week of October in time for the autumn planting season.

We deliver via Evri small parcel service and dispatch the following working day your order is received. Deliveries usually take 2-3 days to arrive after dispatch.

Bulbs are a perishable product and should be planted up as soon as they are received to ensure they remain in the best quality. Bulbs not being planted straight away should be stored in a cool, well ventilated location and not in plastic bags. Damage can occur to bulbs that are stored incorrectly for protracted lengths of time, and we accept no liability where damage (mould, decay etc) is seen that has not been reported to us immediately upon receipt.

Bulbs are dispatched in separate paper bags labelled with the variety and quantity, allowing you to plan you planting scheme with ease.
